JAMMU, Sept 13: Patel Cricket Club defeated Laxmi Cricket Club by a narrow margin of 5 runs to seal berth in the semifinals of the ongoing KC Sports Club Cup 2017, being played at KCSC ground, here.
Batting first, Patel Cricket Club scored a modest total of 118 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Amritpal top scored with 26 runs, while Abhinav, Tayyab and Samad contributed 19, 18 and 16 runs respectively. From Laxmi Club, Bharat and Sameer bagged 2 wickets each, while Aman, Dhruv and Sant Baksh shared one wicket apiece.
In reply, Laxmi Club bundled out for 113 runs in 19.4 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 5 runs. Anuj top scored with 48 runs, while Dhruv Mahajan contributed 11 runs. Abhishek and Ankush took 3 wickets each for Patel Cricket Club, while Tribuvan claimed 2 wickets. Gourav and Pranav also claimed one wicket each.
