JAMMU, Sept 14: As part of Sports Festival, T20 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Bhawani Rakwal, Deputy Commissioner, Doda, accompanied by Mohammad Shabir SSP Doda and Vinay Kumar Kullar, ASP Hqrs Doda at Sports Staduim Doda, under Civic Action Programme-2017-18.
The main objective of organizing such events under CAP was to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to channelize the energy of youth towards sports and constructive activities.
The first match was played between Govt. Higher Secondary School Khellani and Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School Doda which was won by Shaheen Public School HSS Doda by 10 wickets. The second match was played between Govt. HSS Ghat and Faridya Model HSS Doda which was won by Faridya Model HSS Doda by 14 runs and the third match was played between Govt. Boys Hr. Secondary School Doda and Paramount HSS Doda which was won by Govt. Boys HSS Doda by 48 runs.
Dy SP Hqrs Doda, Ifkthar Ahmed, Sr. PO Vikram Parihar , SHO Doda Inspector Bishnesh Kumar and I/C PP DH Doda SI Ashiq Hussain along with other Police and Civil Administration Officers were present during the inaugural ceremony of the tournament. Other events included 100 meters / 200 metres boys, Javelin Throw, Discus Throw, Shot Put, Kabaddi and Kho Kho.
ASP Hqrs Doda, Vinay Kumar Khullar is the nodal officer of the Festival.
