Addressing a function of ‘Alap Vistarks’, (short period whole timers) at K K Resorts Bohri near here today, both Ram Lal and Dr Jitendra Singh took a dig at Congress and NC accusing them of thrusting leadership on the people from the top. They said in comparison to it, the leadership in BJP is developed from party cadres and it is not thrust from the top. “The Congress party leaders frame policy programmes in foreign countries instead within country”, he added.
Ram Lal, while seeking the views of `Alap Vistarks’, who were on a mass contact programme for 15 days to apprise the people about the ideology of former President of Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) now BJP, Deen Dayal Upadhayay and to take the polices and programmes of NDA Government led by Narendra Modi to people asked them to gear up for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and 2020 State Assembly elections to ensure that BJP performs more better in the State in both these elections.
“The Party should target to win all 37 Assembly seats from Jammu region besides making inroads in other two regions of the State”, said Lal. He said it is the result of the struggle of former president of Jana Sangh Pt. Prem Nath Dogra that BJP is in Government in the State and it has one member in Rajya Sabha from this border State which we had never dreamt. “But our cadres and workers have to work hard to improve the tally in next elections”, he added.
Around 4 lakh party activists have volunteered to become ‘Alap-Vistarak’ and spread awareness about various Government polices and schemes in the birth centenary year of Jan Sangh ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhayay, Ram Lal said.
An ‘Alap-Vistarak’ is a member who works for the party’s growth for about 15 days, in an area other than his home State or locality. They also spread awareness about various Government policies and schemes among the common people.
He asked the volunteers to share their experiences about they stay as `Alap-Vistarak with other workers, and said that the party’s national president had also worked as `Alap- Vistarak’.
Claiming that the move was welcomed by the people, he said for the first time a political party was approaching them after the elections were over.
He also said that the BJP has most number of MPs, MLAs, primary members and also Governments in most of the States, but there is zero corruption.
Addressing the function, Dr Jitendra Singh said that it was for the first time during last 70 years after the Independence of India that a man linked to grass root politics became the Prime Minister of India when Narendra Bhai Modi took oath of office on May 26, 2014.
He said though India was liberated from Britshers in 1947 but it was mere transfer of power from one dynasty to another dynasty and the common man could not reap the real fruits of democracy as leadership was thrust from above.
“The dream of freedom fighters was fulfilled for the first time in 2014 when a man linked to grass root politics and coming from a humble family background Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. Not only this but the present President of the country, Ram Nath Kovind also comes from a poor family background as he was living in a mud house. The Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu has also the same story as he lost his parents in early childhood while the BJP president Amit Shah has started his political career as a booth level worker”, he added.
Assuring the party cadres that BJP will not make any compromise on its ideology , Dr Jitendra Singh said that BJP Government came to power in the State with people’s verdict and the coalition will last its full term. “We will run the Government for full term and will not succumb to any pressure as we have not changed our stand on any issue including the Rohingyas and our stand will remain the same”, he added.
He also took a dig at opposition parties for repeated statements that Jammu is being discriminated and said that Biotech Park first of its kind in North India has been established in Ghatti Kathua in Jammu region while opening of Radio Station and  Passport Office at Udhampur, sanction of three Medical Colleges, one Engineering College, AIIMS, Rs 170 crore project for Devika, Rs 159 crore Keriyan Gandiyal bridge on river Rawi in Kathua , Atal Sethu in Basholi, Katra to Delhi Expressway Corridor, Chenani -Nasri tunnel and sanction of Chater Kala Tunnel and sanction of Ayurvedic College in Jammu etc are the new projects for Jammu region only and still the some people talk of discrimination.
Talking to reporters Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh lambasted Congress and NC who blamed present Government that the situation has deteriorated in Kashmir during its three years rule. He said those who were in power for 10 long years did nothing to improve situation in the State and the present Union and State Government in last three years did a lot to bring normalcy in the State and for its development.
“They gave nothing to State and people except the dynastic rule”, he said , adding that State Government is making all arrangements for the food and shelter of the border fire victims and the Divisional Commissioner Jammu visited the area to ascertain the situation.
He said Indian forces are giving a befitting reply to enemy and Pakistan has to repent some day if it does not mend its ways.
On the bandh call given by Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Dr Nirmal Singh said that there are issues and they can be sorted out across the table. The Chamber leaders should meet the Government and we are ready to find the solution to all issues.
He said the Government is working for restoration of peace and we are for development of all three regions of the State without any discrimination towards any region.
Addressing the function earlier Dr Nirmal Singh said the BJP’s main focus is on party worker who is its backbone. The BJP is an ideology based party which has firm belief and faith in Indian Nationalism and its thrust has always been on capacity building of its workers so that in turn we can make India the Vishaw Guru and fulfill the dream of the PM.
Terming the party activists a great asset of the party, he said “our objective is to make India a number one country in 21st century”.
