JAMMU, Sept 18: Dream Cricket Club, Sharda Cricket Club and Kongposh Cricket Club outplayed their rivals in the ongoing 2nd KPL Pink Ball Cricket Tournament, being played at KC Sports Club ground, here.
Dream Cricket Club defeated Lions Cricket Club by 10 wickets in a one-sided contest. Batting first, Lions Club bundled out for a paltry total of 76 runs in 18.3 overs. Sidharth and Sarthak contributed 14 runs each. Chander took 4 wickets from Dream Club, while Sahil and Vicky claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively .
In reply, Dream Club scored the runs in 6.2 overs without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Chander and Deepak scored unbeaten 41 and 30 runs respectively.
In another match, Kongposh Cricket Club got the better of WCC Blues by 4 wickets.
Put into bat, WCC Blues scored a modest total of 115 runs in 20 overs. Rajesh Dutta top scored with 24 runs, while Dilip and V Raj contributed 16 and 13 runs to the total respectively. Anil took 3 wickets for Kongposh Club, while Gokul, Ronak and Sanjay Moza claimed 2 wickets each.
Kongposh Club, in reply scored the required runs in 19.3 overs by losing 6 wickets to win the match by 4 wickets. Arvind, Vishal and Rajesh were the main contributors with 29, 20 and 16 runs to the total respectively. Dilip and Bakshi claimed 2 wickets each.
In yet another match, Sharda Cricket Club defeated Surinder Cricket Club by 17 runs. Batting first, Sharda Club scored 111 runs in 20 overs. Rakesh top scored with 42 runs, while Sagar contributed 16 runs to the total. From Surinder Club, Romi and Raju bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, Surinder Cricket Club bundled out for 94 runs, thus lost the match by 17 runs. Romi and Provin contributed 15 and 12 runs to the total respectively. Sunil and Amit took 3 wickets each for Kongposh Cricket Club, while Rakesh claimed 2 wickets.
