DIET organizes science exhibition

JAMMU, Nov 6: District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET), Jammu organized 28th District Level Science Exhibition on the theme “Science and Society” at Government Girls High School Gandhi Nagar, here.
In the exhibition, 122 schools comprising 467 higher secondary schools, 45 high schools and 31 elementary schools exhibited their models.
Director School Education, Jammu, G A Qureshi, was the chief guest on the valedictory function while Principal State Institute of Education, Jammu, A C Aima was the guest of honour.
The chief guest along with other officers of the department took a round of different exhibits.
Principal DIET, P K Durani, read out the annual report.
Mr Qureshi directed the teaching fraternity to ignite the budding minds of the young students to bring out their scientific temper.
He distributed prizes among the schools adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, besides giving away consolation prices in different categories.
During the exhibition, GHSS Jhajjar Kotli, GGHHS RS Pura and GGHHS Miran Sahib bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively ,while in secondary category GHS Dogra Hall, GGHS Ghaas Mandi and GHS Chowadi clinched the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank respectively. In elementary category, GMS’ Narwal Pain, Digiana Camp and Gandhi Nagar got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
