KATRA, Sept 25: On fourth day of the All India Devotional Song Competition, here at Yog Ashram Complex, celebrity singer Gulzar Lahoria and Sunil Mattu enthralled the audience with their more than one hour cut to cut presentations in which people were seen singing and dancing on their tunes as guest items in the event.
In the preliminary round of competition, Shubh Sisters from Chamba bagged the 1st position and qualified for semi final, to be held on 28th September while Brijesh Malhotra from Kanyala was adjudged 2nd and 3rd position was bagged by Swarn Lata from Jalandhar, who went straight to quarter final, to be held on 27th September among. There were total 10 auditioned participants in the round and the winners were awarded cash prizes of 10,000/- , 5,000/-and 3,000/-, respectively, along with gift hampers from Roots Herbals.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music, including singer Gulzar Lahoria, Dr Usha Bhagati (Ex HOD Music), Prof Anupama Sharma (Lecturer Music Govt Degree College Parade) and V K Sambyal, Retd Director All India Radio.
Proceedings of the competition were conducted by Rakesh Wazir, Chairman of the said competition, who informed that celebrity singers Hasmat /Sultana and Asmita Garg will perform tomorrow and live telecast of the event will be available on Shradha Mh one from 9.15 PM onwards daily.
