KATRA, Sept 26: All India Devotional Song Competition as a part of Navratra Festival 2017 entered into the fifth day at Yog Ashram Complex, here today.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the Chief Executive Officer SMVD Shrine Board, Jitender Kumar Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, while Additional CEO SMVD Shrine Board Anshul Garg was the guest of honour.
Famous Bollywood Singers Shankar Sahni and Amrinder Bobby were the special invitees and adjudicated the event. They enthralled the entire audience with their performances on the occasion.
Additional SP Naresh Singh, DySP Katra Ashok Sharma, DySP Subash Bhardwaj, Rakesh Wazir President Hotel Association, Katra and Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee, SHO Arvind Sambyal ,GM Ramada City Center Jammu Rajesh Ishai, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand Ji Maharaj ,Shiv Kumar Sharma, Virender Kesar and Ajay Kotwal were present on the occasion .
In this preliminary round of competition, Sukhdeep from Moga, Punjab clinched 1st position to qualify directly for the semifinal to be held on September 28, 20117, while the 2nd Position was shared jointly by Arun and Parmjeet Titu from Jammu and the 3rd position went to Sushmita Banerjee, who made entry into the quarters to be held tomorrow.
10 auditioned participants in which04 participants were from outside the state and were provided with a cash prize of 10,000, 5,000 and 3,000 alongwith gift hampers from Roots Herbals.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music apart from Sahni and Bobby included Prof Anupama Sharma, Lecturer Music Govt Degree College Parade, & Performed abroad & in India, USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela & Bangladesh etc and V.K Sambyal Retd. Director All India Radio.
