JAMMU, Oct 6: A deputation of BJP Transport Cell today met the Vice Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited Munish Sharma under the leadership of S. Varinderjeet Singh incharge BJP All Cells, along with S. Darshan Singh BJP State Transport Cell convener here, today and apprised him about various problems being faced by the transporters.
The problems which were highlighted by delegation were, releasing of pending dues pertaining to transportation of goods in different Government Department & other organizations. They were of the view that Transport Cell is keen to provide their services to JAKFED in carrying goods & services to different parts of the State at concessional rates.
Deputation also requested Vice Chairman to take-up the matter with Food & Supply Department of providing transportation of food grains to different parts of State. In addition to this Cell will provide all transport facilities to the JAKFED at concessional rates as the transporters will get their transportation charges in time which was not paid earlier by the departments.
Vice Chairman urged Transporters Cell to work hard together through communicating & discussing the ways and means for possible solution to smoothen the transport industry in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP Transport All Cell State convener complimented the Vice Chairman for his sincere efforts in supporting the transporters delegation.
Varinderjeet Singh expressed satisfaction over the positive response given by Vice Chairman to the demands of the deputation and assuring their settlement.
Munish assured the deputation that he would take-up the matter with the concerned ministers later this week & seek immediate relief from State Government & expedite the release of dues.
