JAMMU, Oct 6: Satwari police arrested a notorious criminal along with country made pistol and live cartridge.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Satwari police station laid a naka at Dashmesh Nagar and apprehended a hardcore criminal along with country made pistol and live cartridge.
The accused has been identified as Harjot Singh alias Anda, son of Jaswant Singh, a resident of Dashmesh Nagar, Jammu.
During questioning, he disclosed that he was having rivalry with Vikramjeet Singh, son of Mohan Singh of Seohra, Gangyal and Gagandeep Singh alias Chatru, son of Inderjeet Singh alias Banjara, a resident of Digiana Camp. The accused was associated with Surinder Singh alias Shinda, son of Jaswant Singh and was planning to eliminate his rivals. Surinder Singh was arrested earlier along with fire arm.
A case under FIR Number 190/17 under Section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Satwari Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh and assisted by ASI Mohammad Akran, HC Rampal, Contable Mohammad Amin and Constable Ajay Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
