JAMMU, Oct 7: Inter District and Divisional Level Competitions, being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports in different disciplines were played at various venues.
JAMMU: Inter District Divisional Level Athletic Meet for girls under all age groups concluded here at University of Jammu.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Department of Sports and Physical Education was the chief guest on the occasion.
In under-17 Shot Put, Yasmeen Akhter of Samba, Anu Devi of Ramban and Lovanya of Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 Long Jump, Pallavi Devi of Jammu, Begum of Kathua and Sonika of Samba clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-14 category, Priya Devi of Kathua, Rinki Tomar of Jammu and Shoba Devi of Samba secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 (200 meters), Yasmeen Akhter of Samba, Shakil Bivi of Kathua and Neetu of Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-14 (600 meters), Preeti Devi of Samba, Rimpi Devi of Udhampur and Saleema of Kathua clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 Shot Put, Yasmeen Akhter of Samba, Anu Devi of Ramban and Lovanya of Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-19 (1500 meters), Bhawani Devi of Jammu, Ashu Devi of Udhampur and Parveen Akhter of Kathua bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
POONCH: Divisional Level Inter District Volleyball Tournament for under-14 and 17 boys entered second day at Sports Stadium and Degree College ground, here.
In under-17 category, Ramban beat Udhampur by 2-0 sets, Poonch beat Jammu by 2-0 sets, Samba beat Udhampur by 2 -1 sets and Ramban beat Kathua by 2-0 sets. In first semis, Poonch beat Samba by 3-0 sets and entered into the final.
In under-14 category, Poonch beat Jammu by 2-0 sets, Samba beat Udhampur by 2-0 sets and Ramban beat Kathua by 2-0 set. Poonch will take on Ramban in the final. Earlier in the first semis, Poonch beat Samba by 3-0 sets and Ramban beat Jammu by 3-0 sets.
