JAMMU, Oct 9: President Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Maha Sabha (All India) and Member Lok Sabha, Harivansh Singh today appealed the J&K Government to avoid testing patience of people and declare holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last ruler of the J&K state.
Addressing a press conference  along with State president of the Rajput Sabha (J&K), Narayan Singh here today, Harivansh Singh, who is MP from Partapgarh (UP), said that he met with various delegations in Jammu and some other areas of the region during last two days. Even he attended a function at Ramban organised by  the State Sabha unit. All of them have strongly projected the demand of declaring  Gazetted holiday on the  birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
He appreciated the vision, farsightedness of  Maharaja Hari Singh  in introducing various laws and other welfare measures adopted for the welfare of the people of the State. The introduction of state subject law in the state was his great achievement. The most important aspect of  the Maharaja was and is the accession of the J&K state with Union of India.
The MP declared that Maharaja Hari Singh cannot be equated with the Raja’s of other princely states of India. People of the state cannot forget their Maharaja, for his contributions, he made to the people of the state irrespective of the caste or creed. He advised the Government to honour the sentiments of the people of J&K state and without wasting time declare Sept 23  as Gazetted holiday. The true recognition of such a great personality can be given only that State Govt should declare Gazetted Holiday birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh and the patience of the people of the State should not be tested any more.
Harivansh Singh assured the people of  the State  that he honours the sentiments of people of the state and he was with them and support the cause of the people of J&K state. He further warned that in case the State Govt hesitates in declaring the  holiday, the All India Kshatriya Mahasabha will launch campaign throughout the country.
