JCCI seeks probe into Bus Stand issue

JAMMU, Oct 12: The Jammu Chamber of  Commerce and Industry president Rakesh Gupta along with the other office bearers Rajeev Gupta and Gaurav Gupta and accompanied by the Bus Stand traders called upon the Divisional Commissioner Jammu  MK Bhandari  today to complain against the working of Jammu Development Authority and their  inhuman and brutal action yesterday at Bus Stand.
On this occasion the Inspector General of Police, Jammu SD Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rajeev Ranjan and the VC JDA, Rajesh Shavan  were also present.
The CCI president demanded a high level inquiry into the incident  of the brutal action of the JDA and stone pelting by the JDA staff resulting into injuries to the shopkeepers and even to the SHO concerned.
The Divisional Commissioner ordered an inquiry into the incident and asked for the report to be submitted within 3 days after which the CCI will submit their demands of action against the JDA officials.
