AKHNOOR, Oct 23: Evershine Cricket Club defeated Royal Cricket Club by 7 wickets in the ongoing Veteran Cricket Cup Akhnoor, being organized by Singh Cricket Club at Govt Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Batting first, RCC made 92/10 in 20 overs. Shindi was the top scorer with 23 runs, while Ranjeet Kumar and Abhinash contributed 15 runs each.
For Evershine, Hardeep Singh and Danny shared 3wickets each, while Narinder Singh claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Evershine scored 94/3 in 12.1 overs, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Hardeep Singh top scored with 33 runs, while Narinder Singh (26) and Mahadev (14) were the other contributors. For Royal Cricket Club Akhnoor, Raju and Ranjeet shared 1 wicket each. Hardeep Singh was declared as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Chander Kiran as umpires and Vasu as scorer, while the tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
