JAMMU, Oct 24: Govern-ment Degree College (GDC) Bhaderwah registered a narrow 4-run victory over GDC Reasi in the Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at the University cricket ground, here.
Earlier, the Tournament was inaugurated by Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Winning the toss and batting first, GDC Bhaderwah scored 82 runs in the stipulated 10 overs. Umar Farooq (19) and Mehran (11) were the main contributors. Manoj, Amit Sharma and Ankush claimed 2 wickets each for GDC Reasi.
In reply, GDC Reasi bundled out for 78 runs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 4 runs. Amit Sharma top scored with 30 runs while Nitin contributed 11 runs to the total. Suhil took 3 wickets, while Deepak and Mehran claimed 2 wickets each for GDC Bhaderwah. Suhil was adjudged as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Saleem-ur-Rehman and Vinod Kandyara.
