JAMMU, Oct 25: The Army inaugurated the Chenab T-20 Cricket Championship at Doda in collaboration with Local Cricket Club.
The cricketing event will go on for one month till November 26, 2017.
36 teams from Chenab Valley are participating in the event. The event will constructively engage more than 400 players and thousands of youth as spectators. Indian Army is providing administrative & logistic support in addition to mentoring the organizing committee in conduct of the Gala event.
The people of Doda appreciated the support provided by Indian Army to encourage the sports activities amongst youth in Doda district. “This step will go a long way in giving a boost to development of sports in Doda region and also foster social & communal harmony among locals,” organizers said.
