SRINAGAR, Nov 10: Owais Gull’s five wicket haul helped Hayat Sports to defeat Javaid Cricket Club in the inaugural match of Police T-20 knock-out cricket tournament played at Sports Stadium Anantnag.
Hayat Sports won the toss and elected to bat first. Hayat Sports scored 158 runs in their allotted 20 overs with Masroor Mushtaq being the top scorer with 34 runs while as Irfan Nazir scored 28 runs. For Javed Cricket Club Ajaz Ahmad took two wickets.
In reply the Javed Cricket Club could just score 78 runs thus losing the match by 80 runs. For the losing team Irshad Ahmad was the top scorer with 26 runs. For the Hayat Sports Owais Gull was the wrecker in chief with five wickets including a hat-trick. Owais was declared man of the match.
