JAMMU, Nov 10: Ishar XI and YCC registered resounding victories over their rivals in the ongoing Eid-Diwali Milan Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department in collaboration with Simula Software at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match, Ishar XI drubbed Friends Cricket Club by 7 wickets in an easy contest. Winning the toss and batting first, FCC bundled out for a paltry total of 96 runs in 19.3 overs. Anish scored 16 runs, while Sahil and Monty contributed 12 runs each. For Ishar XI, Vishwajeet, Paras, Pavit and Amritpal shared 2 wickets each, while Shubam took 1 wicket.
In reply, Ishar XI chased the target in 12.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets and won the match by 7 wickets. Amritpal was the top scorer with 31 runs in 11 balls including 2 sixes and 4 fours, while Sandeep and Abhinav contributed 20 and 14 runs to the total respectively.
For FCC, Romario, Justin and Nitish shared 1 wicket each.
Amritpal of IsharXI was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant performance.
In another match, YCC defeated Christian Sports Organisation by 2 wickets in a well contested match.
Winning the toss and batting first, CSO XI scored 151 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Ravi Manchanda was the top scorer with 63 runs in 54 balls with 6 fours and 1 six, while Amit also contributed well made 23 runs in 17 balls with 4 fours . For YCC, Raman was the pick of the bowlers, who claimed 4 wickets, Rahul and Akash took 1 wicket each.
In reply, YCC completed the target in 19.5 overs for 8 wickets. Akash was the top scorer with 31 runs in 19 balls with 3 fours and 1 six, while Nipun and Gateshwar scored 30 and 27 runs to the total.
For CSO XI, Ricson, Rishu and Rippan took 3,2 and2 wickets respectively. Akash of YCC was declared man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Suhail, Sudhir Singh and Sadiq Hussain as umpires, while Sanjay Bhatti acted as scorer.
