RAJOURI, Oct 27: The police has detained three notorious bovine smugglers and another youth under Public Safety Act.
Those detained under PSA are- Mohd Gafoor, son of Wali Mohd, resident of Khablan, Thannamandi; Mohd Khaliq, son of Khadim Hussain, resident of Rajdhani, Thannamandi; Muzaffar Iqbal, son of Mohd Razak, resident of Choungaran, Kalakote and Nirmal Singh (a cow vigilant), son of Munshi Ram of Gunda in Khawas. They have been booked under the orders of District Magistrate Rajouri. They have now been lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu.
The police said the bovine smugglers were found involved in many cases of smuggling during last two years while Nirmal Singh was found inciting people and taking law into his hands on several occasion disturbing peace in the area. The police forwarded dossier to the DM who issued the orders of detention today.
