JAMMU, Oct 30: The Army Public School, Akhnoor witnessed meaningful deliberations as Principals from the progressive CBSE schools of Jammu, Kathua and Samba attended the general body meeting of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex (JSSC), here yesterday.
The agenda of the Principals’ conclave was to discuss about the core competencies needed for students in today’s competitive world to take on the future challenges of professional life and also to review the Jammu Sahodaya activities hosted by various schools in the recent past.
The General Body Meeting commenced with a welcome address by the host school Principal, KC Mehta. After the preliminary session, Nirmal Mahna, the general secretary JSSC & Principal, DPS, Rajbagh, Kathua, briefed the House of the Sahodaya activities covering all the requisite details.
The events, which got postponed on account of certain unavoidable reasons, got finalized with dates and months. It was followed by a briefing from Vivek Arora, the Treasurer JSSC, about the income and expenditure status for the current financial year.
A scholarly presentation was made by S K Singh, Principal, JK Public School, Kunjwani on the topic: Board’s Perspective on the conduct of Class X Exams (2017-18).
Once the points on the agenda were deliberated upon, the House was declared open for discussion by the president, JSSC & Principal, Heritage School, Jammu, J S Dhami. The House discussed about the feedback format designed by the members of the executive committee and approved it.
The President, JSSC, Dhami congratulated the members of the House for envisioning far greater ideals for their Institutions than the general perception of education and touching the lives of students on rolls with finer sensibilities, which would certainly fetch rich dividends in days to come.
At the end, Rajesh Rathore, PRO, Jammu Sahodaya, proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude on behalf of Jammu Sahodaya to KC Mehta, Principal, Army Public School, Akhnoor for hosting the meeting.
