JAMMU, Nov 11: The Athwaas foundation, An association of Displaced media fraternity held the election for new office bearers here today. Ashok Kaloo was the Chief Election Commissioner while as Bharat Koul was the Assistant Election Commissioner.
Those elected included Kusum Dhar as president, Ajay Bharti as vice president, Sohail Koul as general secretary, Ravinder Pandita as secretary and Pran Parag as cashier.
The new elected body has resolved that it will work for the betterment of displaced artist fraternity and strive to recognize the work of the artists of various disciplines and re organize the organisation for effective functioning. They also expressed that soon the meeting will be conveyed for framing the general body.
