JAMMU, Nov 1: Former Minister and JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh today accused Bharatiya Janata Party of changing colour like chameleon with the passage of time by authorizing the one man interlocutor to hold talks with anyone in Jammu and Kashmir.
The BJP which was earlier adamant and opposed talks in Kashmir with those who don’t consider Constitution of India and oppose the Indian State has bowed before the anti-nationals to secure political goals when it failed to achieve it with their arrogance since it came to power, alleged Manjit Singh. He was speaking before a large number of party workers during a monthly meeting at Vijaypur.
“They are applying cosmetics over the grave issues and trying to befool people as well as opposition. Such policy has weaken the nation and national interest in long term when it comes to national or international level,” said Manjit Singh.
Singh said that suddenly Modi Government has succumbed to the pressure of the Hurriyat Conference and appointed in hurry one man Interlocutor instead of going though the suggestions or recommendations made by the previous Interlocutors appointed at the time of UPA Government.
“We want to know from the Government with whom they are going to talk. Whether they will also talk to the militant commanders in Kashmir who are working on the directions of Pakistan or Hurriyat Conference alone? We want a list of those persons with whom the Modi Government has authorized former intelligence chief to hold talks,” he maintained.
Condemning those talking about autonomy in Jammu and Kashmir, Manjit Singh was furious about such political parties who have hurt the sentiments of the people at large.
He said that majority of the people in Jammu and Kashmir do not need autonomy instead they demand employment, equal opportunity in jobs, education and development without any regional disparity.
Those  present in the meeting were Ex- Capt Mohan Lal Sharma, Bachan Choudhary, Manga Ram Sharma, Ram Lal Sharma and Sai Dass Bhagat.
