GDC Paloura wins Team Championship

JAMMU, Nov 1: Scoring 130 points out of a total of 360 points, Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura won overall Team title in the Inter-Collegiate Archery (Men) Championship, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, at Varsity Stadium, here.
In the Team event, Sajjad Hussain scored 54 points, Ghulam Hussain scored 13 points, -Mustafa Ali 42 points and Shabir Hussain secured 21 points.
The 2nd position in Team event went to GGM Science College Jammu with 45 points.
Shubam Kerni  scored 15 points, Varun Sharma 15 points, Sanjay Kumar 12 and Arjun Dev Singh 3 points.
The 3rd position in Team event was bagged by Govt. MAM College Jammu with 27 points.
Ahmed Hussain scored 27 points.
Meanwhile, in the individual event of 30 meters distance, Sajjad Hussain of GDC Paloura won gold, while the silver went to Mustafa Ali of GDC Paloura with 42 points and the bronze was bagged by Ahmed Hussain of Govt. MAM College Jammu with 27 points.
Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the valedictory function who distributed prizes among the teams and the players on the occasion.
