JAMMU, Nov 11: Yasmeen Akhtar, a student of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, brought laurels to the school by winning medals during the Inter District Level Athletic Meet organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Jammu University ground.
Yasmeen Akhtar bagged Silver medal in both 200 meter and 4 x 100 meter Relay Races.
In the meet, about 500 students from various schools district Jammu participated and exhibited their talent.
The students who participated in this Athletic meet were received with great enthusiasm by Gaurav Charak, Principal, Anku Charak, Vice Principal, Akashdeep Raina, incharge, Sanjeev Sharma, physical instructor and Ajay Sharma, Academic Head along with other staff members.
While speaking, Principal said that the school management had left no stone unturned to promote physical education in school and in this regard sports infrastructure is being upgraded in the school for providing platform to the students to take part in different sports activities at district, State and National Levels.
Later, he declared special cash prizes for the winners of the competitions who had participated in the Inter-School as well as Inter-District Athletics Meet.
