THRISSUR, Nov 12: Defence Minister A K Antony will formally inaugurate the four-day seventh co-operative congress on November 14.
The Congress gets underway tomorrow.
‘Co-operative movment for new brave world and social goodness’, public distribution system under the co-operative movement and the prons and cons of the 97th ammendment to the Constitution would be the subjects discussed, Minister for co-operation khadi and villege industires, C N Balakrishnan told reporters here.
He said over 3000 delegates from different parts of the country would attand the event.
Besides Antony, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation K C Venugopal, Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Ramesh Chennithala, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Finance Minister K M Mani would participate in the event, he added. (PTI)
