SRINAGAR: Asserting that operations against ultras will continue in the Valley, Inspector General (IG) of CRPF Ravideep Singh Shahi said militants are targeting political workers in south Kashmir out of frustration.

“Cordon and search operations are part of anti-militancy operations. They have been going on in the last and will be continued in the future. It is done for area domination and to create sense of security among common masses,” Mr Shahi told reporters on the sidelines of a sports event organised by CRPF.

The IG CRPF said it also helps in restricting movement of militants.
