JAMMU, Nov 14: A film festival specially made for the visually challenged kids of the city was organized today at 10 AM in KC Theatre by Radio Mirchi 98.3, where the students of The Blind School, Roop Nagar, Jammu were fascinated by the Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift.
The movie was exclusively designed by Saksham Foundation. Radio Mirchi 98.3 RJs, Mirchi Shwetima, Mirchi Nishant and Mirchi Nikki who host their shows daily from the studio struck a chord with the adorable kids and the sparks of love could be visible in their eyes.
Kaano Dekhi Festival is a special initiative by the MirchiCares group, conducted throughout India for kids who have restricted vision that stops them from enjoying movies. Through the special narration of movies, Mirchi 98.3 FM tries to bring enjoyment to their lives.
For the celebrations of Children’s Day, specially-abled kids from various NGOs were yesterday welcomed in the Radio Mirchi 98.3’s studios and a great interaction session with them helped cheer up the whole place. After the studio session, they were accompanied by RJs to the restaurant- Barbeque Nation where a sumptuous lunch was awaiting them.
Sehyog Trust and Serving Humanity NGO joined hands to contribute to the food and transportation requirements respectively. Heritage-Strings also performed in front of the students singing their much loved numbers, adding more fizz to their cold drinks and eatables.
Speaking on the occasion, the Station Head of Radio Mirchi 98.3, J&K, Sumit Kakkar mentioned that, “Radio Mirchi is not just a Radio Station, it’s a brand that cares and where people of Jammu matter. We believe in entertaining the city to the fullest and also propagating ‘khushi’ in every way that we can.”
Khushboo Mattoo, who heads the Programming for J&K added that these initiatives bring changes in the city and bring happiness in the true sense. She also added that Mirchi 98.3 will keep the city buzzing with more initiatives and engagements.
