JAMMU, Nov 15: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Kala Kendra Society, Jammu today jointly organized an On the Spot Children Painting Competition on the subject “Jo Laut Ke Ghar Na Aaye” in the Kala Kendra, here today.
In this event, Madam Dilshad Khan, Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Department of Culture, J&K was the chief guest who, alongwith the Secretary of the Academy Dr. Aziz Hajini keenly saw the Paintings prepared by the participating students and interacted with the children and appreciated the work of the students.
While speaking on the occasion, she appreciated the efforts of both of the premiere Institutions to provide a platform to young generation of today. She said that the participation of youth in such activities definitely make them able to develop an all-round development in the civil society.
Earlier, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn presented welcome address.
As many as 400 students from different schools of Jammu region participated in the competition.
The adjudicators were Rohit Verma, Shashi Bala and Bhushan Kesar.
