JAMMU, Nov 15: Centre for Cooperative Management Jammu today organized a function in connection with 64th Cooperative Week celebrations, to promote the strengthening of Co-operative Movement in today’s world of digitalization. Vice Chairman JAKFED Munish Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma highlighted the importance of National Cooperative activities. He said the primary objective of cooperative societies is to empower weaker section of the society. In today’s era of globalization the cooperatives have their unique value & people should come forward & enroll themselves in various cooperative societies so that members may be able to generate additional incomes & comfort for themselves & share their ideas.
He further said that the co-operative society provides the platform for unemployed youth to form their own business.
Vice Chairman also interacted with the students of the Centre and asked them not to remain idle, and receive benefit under the Cooperative Movement.
It is pertinent to mention here that Centre for Cooperative Management was previously known as Cooperative Training Centre wherein they provide training to employees of Cooperative Department & employees of the Cooperative Societies. Now this centre has started functioning as Centre for Cooperative Management in which they provide training to the unemployed youth and issues Diploma in Cooperative Management.
Vice Chairman further asked the officers of the Department to hold seminars & conferences about the awareness of Co-operative Movement in the rural areas of the State so that people could take benefit. He also directed the officers that Cooperative Movement should get revived as per its principles of three tier structure. Moreover Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Mahesh Kumar highlighted the achievements of JAKFED after taking over by Vice Chairman Munish Sharma.
Those who were present in the function were Satish Sharma Principal, Miss Indu Sharma, Vice Principal, Usha Dutta, Renu Kumari, Vijay Kumar, Farooq Ahmed, officials of Cooperative Department, member of the other cooperative societies & social activist attended the function.
