Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Nov 16: Jhajjar Kotli and Sidhra police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing sixteen cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station intercepted a truck. During checking, police rescued eleven bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person.
Meanwhile, a team from Sidhra Police Post intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK02BV-7819. Police rescued five cattle from the vehicle, while the driver managed to escape from the spot.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Jhajjar Kotli and Nagrota Police Stations and hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
