KATHUA, Nov 21: The Samajik Chetna Abhiyan Sasha-stra Seema Bal (SSB) Football Cup-2017, organized by 66 Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Jammu, concluded at Sports Stadium, here today.
Rajiv Singh Jasrotia,MLA Kathua was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, while Ajay Kumar, Commandant, SP Tondup, Deputy Commandant and Ritesh Kumar, Assistant Commandants were present at the function.
The final match was played between United Club Kathua and Army Public School Janglote, wherein latter defeated former by five goals to four (5-4) via penalty shootouts.
According to the organisers, the main motive of this football tournament was to give fillip to this game in the State.
Winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 20,000, while the runners-up team was presented a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 by the chief guest. Shivam Kumar of Army Public School was awarded with best player of the tournament. Individual medals were also presented to the players of wining and runners-up teams.
Finally, the function concluded with the presentation of cultural programme by SSB.
