JAMMU, Nov 22: A good number of games were held in the 4-day SAOLJ Annual Sports Meet, organized by the Students Association of Ladakh Jammu (SAOLJ) at MA Stadium, here.
The events held in the meet included Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Athletics etc.
Around 40 teams participated in various events.
In Cricket, United Kargil defeated Tallimorh Club by 8 wickets, while in Football, Santos Club emerged winner and in Volleyball, Tallimorh Club bagged the first spot.
Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra was the chief guest in the concluding ceremony, while Haji Mirza Hussain, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports was the guest of honour, who distributed trophies and medals among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
