JAMMU, Nov 25: IGP XI defeated MCC in an easy contest of the ongoing 8-day CCDU tournament, being organized by Communication & Capacity Development Unit (CCDU) at Jammu University grounds, here.
The participating teams include MCC, Engineer-XI, Police-XI and Divisional Commissioner-XI.
The final of the tournament will be played on November 29 at the same venue. The theme of the tournament is ‘Jal Hai To Kal Hai’.
Earlier, MCC won the toss and elected to bat first, batting first MCC scored 79 runs.
IGP XI chased the total easily and won the match. Anil Raina was declared as the man of the match for his 5-wickets haul. He gave 10 runs in his 4 overs by scalping 5 important wickets.
Meanwhile, awareness camp was also organised by CCDU Department in University Campus and pamphlets were distributed among the students for creating awareness to use water judiciously. Water sampling and testing with Water Testing Kit was also done on the occasion.
