Jammu, Nov 25: Aircel-XI registered win over outplayed Media-XI Cricket Club Jammu by a huge margin of 79 runs in friendly cricket match, which was played at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.
Aircel-XI led by Sahil Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first and posted 161 runs target in the stipulated 18 overs. Kewal Kotwal scored 60 runs in 31 balls and Anand tripathi chipped in 55 runs in 28 balls.
For Media-XI, Ranjeet Singh and Des Raj (Bittu) took 2 wickets each in their four overs spell.
Chasing the target, Media-XI CC led by Mir Imran bundled out at paltry 82 runs and lost the match by a huge margin of 79 runs.
For Aircel-XI, Mandeep, Ishant and Arun scalped 2 wickets each in fours overs spell.
Kewal Kotwal was declared as Man of the Match for his magnificent knock of 60 runs in just 31 balls.
To encourage the players and to promote cricket in the Jammu and Kashmir, the ground was provided by the Joint Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Jammu Desh Rattan Dubey.
