Khalsa Club lifts hockey title

JAMMU, Nov 25: Khalsa Club Gole Gujral defeated MBS Hockey Club Simbal Camp by two goals to one in the summit clash to lift the title trophy of 3rd Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament 2017, being organized by Kashmir Sikh Sangat, under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
From Khalsa Club, the first goal was scored by Matinder Pal Singh in 16th minute, while the second goal was netted by Gurpeet Singh in 59th minute. From MBS, Shivam Sharma was the goal scorer, who netted it in 30th minute.
The match was officiated by D Singh, PP Singh, Angat Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Joginder Singh and Gurmeet Singh.
Devinder Rana, Member Legislative Assembly and Provincial President National Conference was the chief guest on the occasion, while Baba Jatinder Singh Sodhi, Patron of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Trust Reasi was the guest of honour.
Matinder Pal Singh of Khalsa Club was declared as the man of the tournament, while Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Club was awarded Fair Play Trophy.
TP Singh was the organizing secretary of the tournament.
