REASI, Nov 27: Defeating BBCC Sungri by 23 runs in the summit clash, MCC Bagga won the title trophy of the ongoing Cricket Tournament, organised by J&K Police District Reasi, under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Sangam Stadium Sungri Chassana, near here.
Earlier, MCC Bagga won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, MCC Bagga managed to score 132 runs in which Mehran Malik contributed a total of 28 runs and Yaseen Malik scored 22 runs. From BBCC Sungri, Jahangeer took 3 wickets.
BBCC Sungri in reply managed to score 109 runs, thus lost the match by 23 runs. Prithvi Singh was the top scorer with 34 runs. Yaseen and Shahejahan took 2 wickets each.
Bunty Jamwal from BBCC Sungri was adjudged as the man of the series, while Arshad Malik from Evergreen Kotli was named the best batsman and Ajay Singh from BBCC Sungri was the declared as the best bowler of the tournament. Tehsildar Chassana was the chief quest on the occasion, while Major Navneet Singh 2i/c 59 RR was the guest of honour.
