JAMMU, Nov 2: Jammu Police Sports festival, which had begun on November 16, 2017, concluded at MA Stadium, here today.
About 750 players (boys/girls) of under 19 years of different schools of District Jammu participated in various sports events, which included Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Tug-of-War, Karate, Race 200 mtrs, Javelin Throw, Discuss Throw,  Shot Put, Wushu, Kho-Kho and 100 mtrs sprint etc.
The Sports Festival had been organized by District Police Jammu under the supervision of SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta, with slogan ‘Khello Khell-Bhullo Nasha’.
In the valediction function of Kabaddi, DIG JKS Range, Jammu, Rafiq-Ul-Hassan was the chief guest and SP APCR, Mohan Lal Kaith was the guest of honour, who distributed the trophies among the runner/winner teams in the presence of SP Hqrs. Jammu, RC Kotwal, SP Operations Jammu, Vinay Kumar, DySP Hqrs Jammu, Rajpaul Singh, Surinder Mohan, General Secretary of J&K Kabaddi Association and Rajesh Gill, CPO NHRC Jammu (Nodal officer of sports festival).
In Kabaddi Under-19 boys final, SRML Jammu defeated Jammu Club Team by 32 points.
The chief guest, Rafiq-Ul-Hassan, DIG JKS Range, Jammu while speaking on the occasion applauded the role of District Police Jammu for conducting the sports festival in a professional manner.
Rajesh Gill, Nodal officer on the behalf of District Police Jammu presented vote of thanks.
The aim and objective of the Sports Festival was to engage youth in sports and chanalize their energy in a positive and constructive way and to keep them away from social evil and ensure better coordination between Police and public.
