JAMMU, Nov 18: Shopkeepers’ Association, Gangyal and Gangyal Welfare Association organised a protest demonstration under the leadership of Baldev Singh Billawaria, president, Shopkeepers’ Association against the authorities negligence in construction of road from Kunjwani to Satwari.
Hundreds of people came on road and burnt effigies of State Government and PWD.
Speaking on the occasion Billawaria said that the construction work of road from Kunjwani to Satwari, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and was to be completed by October 2012, is still incomplete and no satisfactory work has been done up today.
He urged the Chief Minister to look into the matter personally so that people can get rid of the dust and accidents. He warned the authorities to take appropriate steps in this regard or get ready to face a strong agitation.
