JAMMU: A total number 17219 cases were disposed off and an amount of Rs 92 crore was awarded as compensation in MACT cases and an amount of Rs 16 crores was settled in bank recovery suits at the National Lok Adalats heled across the State yesterday.
“National Lok Adalat was organized across J&K on 9 December 2017 at High Court, District and Tehsil level under the Patronage of Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K, who is also the Patron-in-Chief J&K State Legal Services Authority (JKSLSA),” said a statement issued by R N Watal, Member Secretary J&K SLSA.
