JAMMU, Dec 10: Young Heroes, Vijay Club and Young Rovers registered win over rivals in their respective matches and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup State League Football Tournament at GGM Science College ground.
In the first match, Young Heroes defeated Young Star by 4-1 goals. The first and fourth goals were scored by Pawan in 22nd and 41st minutes, while second goal was scored by Vivasvan in 38th minute and third goal was scored by Brij in 42nd minute. Harleen Singh of Young Star was the lone goal scorer in the 3rd minute.
The Man of the Match award was presented to Pawan of Young Heroes
The second match between Mussa Football Club and Jammu Sports ended in draw.
In the third match, Vijay Club registered win over NGR Football Club by 3-1 goals. The first goal was netted by NGR player in favour of Vijay Club, while the second and third goals were scored by Sandeep and Tanpreet Singh from Vijay Club. The fourth goal was scored by Akhil of NGR.
The Man of the Match award was presented to Tanpreet Singh of Vijay Club.
The fourth match was played between Young Rovers and State Football Academy, in which former registered win by five goals to zero.
Ishaan Gupta netted three goals in 20th, 35th and 39th minutes, while fourth goal was scored by Sajan in 63rd minute and fifth goal was netted by Mohit in 70th minute.
The Man of the Match award was awarded to Ishaan Gupta.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Dil Bahadur, Sanjay, Vijay Kumar, Ricky Kumar, Deeraj, Ramesh and Rocky Kumar.
The matches were witnessed by Iftikhar Lone, Owner of Lone Star, Sheikh Mehmood President DFA Jammu, Kuleep Singh, Direct Member, Narinder Gupta, Former Member Sports Council, Yousaf Don, Rajesh Sumbria, Treasurer DFA Jammu.
