JAMMU, Dec 24:  Mocking at Congress for its claim of  moral victory in Gujarat Assembly polls, Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh today said that every electoral defeat was ‘moral victory’ for the Congress party as it did not require counting of ballots.
“While campaigning in Gujarat, they (Congress leader) said they were fighting a political battle and now when they lost, they said it was a moral victory. And if  that be so, let God bless them with more such so called moral victories  and let all the electoral victories go to the BJP,” he said while talking to media persons on sidelines of a Booth Level Convention of BJP workers at Tikri near Udhampur on Sunday.

“We have already conquered 19 States,  will conquer the rest and let them be contented with the morality whatever it is, which is being witnessed in the form of hypocrisy of 28 temple visit,” jeered the Union Minister,  who was BJP co-incharge in the Gujarat Assembly polls.
Terming the Congress claims as ridiculous and an apologetic statement, Dr Jitendra Singh said this was another way of confessing that they had lost the elections. “After 21 years of consistent rule by a  political party namely BJP in Gujarat, the win for sixth consecutive time is a record in itself, which I think for many year Congress will not be able to equal,” he said and sought to know why Congress waited for election result to claim for `moral victory.
Dr Jitendra Singh also pooh-poohed the Congress attempt of projecting Gujarat poll campaign as Rahul Gandhi versus Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team. “ Lt it be very clear to everyone that Rahul Gandhi is no factor for BJP and he has never been a factor,” he said and added that even Congress party in  Gujarat was  campaigning from such an apologetically position that it had outsourced its campaign to handful of outsider youngsters.
“Comparing Rahul Gandhi with someone like Narendra Modi, who is head and shoulder above any other leader, is actually trying to gain some TRP for the former because he will not make a news but if you tag Modi’s name with him, he may,” the Union Minister said and alleged that members of Congress party’s kitchen coterie raked up such analogies   and hypocritical hypothesis for their own survival.
In response to a query on the martyrdom of four Indian Armymen in unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan yesterday, the Union Minister reiterated that the nation was indebted to the extreme sacrifices of soldiers and moral of Indian forces as well as border inhabitants was at very high because of the kind of befitting retaliatory action being witnessed in last three-four years during the Modi Government.
Dr Jitendra Singh did not miss the opportunity to grill the National Conference and other mainstream political leaders of Kashmir centric parties, who raise hue and cry on the death of terrorists but do not have the courage to express even minimum grief on martyrdom of Indian soldiers who also form part of their personal security.
“Where is the courage of conviction? I think they have lost the credibility. They are playing politics of convenience, separatism too is by convenience for them and they are into a very dangerous game of using alibi of terrorism to settle their political scores,” he said and added that it was high time for these politicians to come out and make clear their position as far as killing of Indian soldiers in the hands of hostile external forces is concerned.
Later, addressing the convention of booth level BJP workers from Jib-Rehambal Mandal and Tikri Mandal, Dr Jitendra Singh stressed that booth management was most crucial in winning elections.
State BJP president Sat Sharma, State general secretary Pawan Khajuria and others also addressed the convention and highlighted various issues.
