JAMMU, Dec 25: Christmas, the birthday of Jesus Christ was celebrated with zeal and fervour.
GLS Public School Talab Tillo Jammu and its playway wing GLS Kids Cocoon Nursery celebrated Christmas with great fervour and joy. Every year, on this day, the school also celebrates collective birthdays of students from Class Pre-Nursery to Class UKG. Children were dressed up as santas and fairies and performed dance items and sang songs. Administrator of the school Gurpreet Singh was also present on the occasion.
Christmas was celebrated with lots of zeal & enthusiasm at Mother’s Pride and Joy Pre-Primary School. The school campus was adorned with Christmas decorations- the Christmas tree and Santa Claus. Children dressed in red added to the merry spirit of Christmas. A special assembly showcasing the birth of Lord Jesus was put up for the students. The children were apprised with the twelve day long tradition of Christmas celebrations. Carols among the very popular ones like Jingle Bells echoed in the campus while Santa Claus distributed sweets to the children. Christmas party was also organized with Santa Claus at the Pizza Hut.
SCIENTIA International School, Bantalab, organised “Christmas Carnival”. The Carnival was inaugurated by the Chairman of the school, Parshotam Bhardwaj. The Carnival included eye captivating stall of games for both children and the parents. All the stalls were planned in a line wherein the live dance performances were presented on the DJ stage. Gifts were distributed to winners. Some mouth watering food stalls were also included in the Carnival, which the children enjoyed a lot. The live exhibition for Nail Art and Tattoo was enjoyed by parents and students. The centre of attraction was the Camel Ride, Jumping Jack and Tambola. In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Principal Bharti Bhardwaj.
Edu World Pre School of Samba celebrated Christmas Day with the children living in slums.Principal Manish Bhadwal along with Edu kids and staff members presented gifts to slum children thereby promoting the habit of helping others in young ones.
Women Empowerment Forum (WEF) celebrated Christmas Day and New Year in the Sai Shyam School premises. Addressing the gathering, President WEF, Dr Anuradha Goswami asked one and all to spread the message of Jesus Christ who laid his life for truth, peace and love to eliminate the miseries of life. The students presented colourful programme which included small skits, poems and cultural items etc. The event began with story of Jesus Christ and the famous Christmas song “Jingle Bells” presented by little ones. Dr Usha Tickoo, Principal was also present on the occasion.
To commemorate Christmas Day, Sahyog India organised a colourful cultural programme in collaboration with Prisons Department at District Jail Ambphalla under the directions of DGP Prisons SK Mishra. The programme was inaugurated by eminent Saragi Vadak GL Sharma in presence of Superintendent of District Jail Dinesh Sharma, Ashwani Jojra Founder Sahyog India, Dr DR Kapoor Chairman Sahyog India, GR Bhagat Retd Deputy Commissioner, Jagdev Singh Manhas, Kashmir Singh and Raj Kumar Sharma. A cultural programme was presented by Academy for Vocational Training Art and Rhythm (AVTAR), Nat Manch, Waheed Group, jail inmates and members of Sahyog India. Preeti Kashyap, Major Jasbir Singh, Prof JL Bhagat, Surinder Manhas, Dr ML Rana and many others were present on the occasion.
Christmas was celebrated by New Young Blood Organisation at Purmandal Morh Jallo Chak. Ashok Verma Chairman of NYBO, Dr Rajinder Thappa CMO GMCH Jammu, Kuldeep Singh, Naveen Gupta and Father of Church Albert Paul, Victor Subh were also present on the occasion.
