JAMMU, Nov 21: Sumitpal Singh of J&K will clash with Kusan Nath of Delhi in the ongoing All India Championship Series of Lawn Tennis Tournament under 16 age category at Delhi Public School, Naini, Devrakh Allahabad, Uttar Pardesh, tomorrow.
Earlier, in the quarter final round, 4th seed Sumitpal defeated Shantu Gupta of Delhi by straight 2-0 sets and the score remained 6-1 and 6-2.
It is mention that, Sumitpal Singh in his first round of the tournament thrashed Mahimppuri of Delhi by 2-1 sets.
In the first set, Sumitpal smashed some crispy shots and registered 4-1 points victory over Mahimppuri, whereas, in the second set, Mahimppuri emerged winner by 3-4 points. In the decider set, Sumitpal played mind games and claimed the set by just 2 points (10-8).
In second round, Sumitpal defeated Anuj Malik of Haryana in straight 2-0 sets (4 -1, 4-2).
