Jidah Club outplays Dialgam Club by solitary goal in inaugural tie

SRINAGAR, Nov 21: Jidah Football Club, Anantnag outplayed Dialgam Football Club, Anantnag by a solitary goal in the inaugural tie of the Football Tournament being organised by Jammu Kashmir Police (JKP) at historical stadium, Anantnag.
On the inaugural day of the championship, IGP Kashmir, SM Sahai, was the chief guest, who declared the tournament open in presence of police officers and officials, officers from Civil Administration, local populace and sports lovers.
While speaking, IGP Kashmir said that the main aim of the tournament was to nurture the hidden talent of the footballers and also to provide platform to them so that they can exhibit their talent.
He threw light on the importance of sports and said that sports plays pivotal role for the overall development of the body vis-à-vis physically and mentally.
IGP impressed upon the youths to participate in the sports activities for the all round development of the body.
“10 football teams will sweat out in this tournament to claim the title trophy”, IGP informed.
“Police is always trying to engage the youth in sports so that they stay away from menace of drugs”, he added.
