JAMMU, Dec 27: On the eve of Kashmiri Hindu Homeland Day, Panun Kashmir has reiterated their demand of creating Union Territory of Panun Kashmir North and East of river Vitasta (Jhelum) in the Valley.
“This will not only rehabilitate Kashmiri Hindus but also stop regression of Valley to the conditions of present Syria or Afghanistan”, said Dr Ajay Churungoo, Chairman, Panun Kashmir, while addressing a press conference here today along with convener of Panun Kashmir, Dr Agnishekhar.
Dr Churungoo said that they have no doubt that the present dialogue process conducted by the representatives of the Government of India is going the same way as the previous ones. He said that the dialogue process is driven by the same vision of empowering separatism and appeasing Jehad, which will further strengthen the separatism and Islamic fundamentalism in the State and weaken the nationalist forces.
Dr Agnishekhar said, “We have no doubt that the dialogue process has already started to act as suicidal self laceration. To us it is very clear that the policy of Government of India in J&K is acting as a subversive gate to the subversive ideas that are infecting the functioning of the state of India and the polity”. He said that this policy had converted the Hindus of J&K into slaves and is transforming the secularism into a device to protect Muslim communalism.
He said that it is high time for Government of India to realize that through all its policies in J&K, it has sustained the separatist ferment in the State, acted as its internal support structure and made it self-sustaining. “It seems as if the mind of Government of India is being controlled by a sinister force which is turning the State against the nation”, he said, adding, a catastrophic situation may develop sooner than later if the course is not changed at an earliest.
