Abducted girl rescued from Punjab

DODA, Dec 29: Bhalra police rescued an abducted girl from Punjab.
As per police sources, on December 18 this year, a complaint was lodged by a youth with police post Bhalra stating that his sister had gone to maternal grandfather’s residence at Drena Bhalla from where a person identified as Mohammad Yaqoob, son of Mohammad Shafi of Dhariwal Punjab with the help of his accomplices kidnapped her and took her to Punjab.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 142/17 under Section 363 and 109 RPC was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and hunt was launched to rescue the abducted girl and arrest the accused.
During investigation, it came to fore that the accused had taken the girl to somewhere in Gurdaspur and after obtaining necessary permission for going outside State, Bhaderwah police team led by SI Talib Hussain, Incharge Police Post Bhalra under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Muneer Khan, SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir Khatana recovered the abducted girl from Kotha Gral Gurdaspur Punjab for which assistance of local police was also sought. The accused managed to escape from the spot.
After conducting medical examination and other legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs.
