Refer “Plight of pensioners” DE 27th Dec 2017, I fully endorse the views and demands of pensioners.
It is open to all that demands of pensioners are always neglected especially in respect of pension facilities, medical allowance, arrears, etc. For the last ten years, medical allowance has not been enhanced.
All employees have to walk through the old age stage but even then no consideration has been taken. It is, therefore, requested to Govt that in addition to it some more steps be considered for senior citizens.
* Some recreation centres be established areawise.
* For travelling, flat 50 percent concessions be given in all modes of communication.
* After attaining the age of 65 years, there should be complete exemption of income tax on the pension.
* Security and safety of senior citizens under law be ensured.
Hoped that our State Govt will do its best to make the second inning of our life more comfortable.
