Four bovines rescued, smuggler arrested

JAMMU, Jan 9: A bovine smuggler was arrested and four bovines were rescued from his possession in Gajansoo area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, during the intervening night of January 8 and 9, a police party of police post Gajansoo during naka checking at Gajansoo, intercepted a load carrier and during checking found four bovines loaded in the vehicle.
He said that the bovines were rescued while driver of the load carrier namely Talib Hussain son of Mohd Rashid, resident of Karloop (Marh), was arrested. “In this connection, a case under relevant sections was registered at police station Kanachak and investigation started”, he added.
