JAMMU, Nov 23: Sports Week organised by Nav Yug Higher Secondary School commenced today, in which students participated actively in various competitions.
On the occasion, HS Jamwal, was the chief guest, while, Principal Chander Kanta was the guest of honour. Besides, students and faculty members were also present.
While speaking, HS Jamwal, highlighted the importance of sports and said that the sports play pivotal role for the overall development of the body vis-à-vis mentally and physically.
Chander Kanta in her speech asked the students to take part in the sports activities whole-heartedly and also briefed about the value of sports in life.
On the first day, in musical chair competition (sub junior group), Karmanya, Divya and Ayushi claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In lemon race, Muskan Sharma, Arun and Mehak emerged winners in junior group, whereas, in the senior group, Sanjali, Sidharth and Rahul claimed top three rankings.
