RAJOURI, Jan 15: Thannamandi police arrested a Patwari and his associate along with 21 bottles of liquor on Thannamandi-Bafliaz road this evening.
Official sources said that police naka party from Thannamandi led by SHO Nazir Ahmed, under the supervision of SDPO Iftikhar Ahmed intercepted a Scorpio vehicle no. JK-11A/4716 and during checking they found 12 bottles of Royal Stag whisky, eight bottles of Rum and one bottle of Vodka in the vehicle. A Patwari and ration dealer were travelling in the vehicle.
The police seized the vehicle along with 21 bottles of liquor and arrested both. They were on way to Surankote from Thannamandi.
They were identified as Haroon Mir, Patwari and ration dealer Imtiaz Ahmed. The police booked them under Excise Act.
