Tributes paid to Subash Chander Bose on birth anniversary

JAMMU, Jan 23: Rich tributes were paid to Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose on his 121st birth anniversary.
J&K BJP Freedom Fighters and Martyr’s Cell led by its State Convenor Bharat Bhushan Sharma paid floral tributes on the portrait of great patriot Subhash Chander Bose on his birthday in presence of  BJP State Vice-President Karan Singh, State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria and other senior leaders at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. BJP State Vice-President Karan Singh, State Secretary Sanjay Baru, State Treasurer Chander Mohan Gupta, District President Baldev Billawaria, Prof Varinder Gupta, Rachhpal Singh and many others also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Neta Ji.
J&K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) organized a function to remember Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose  on his birth anniversary. The function was organized by Ved Gandotra, JKFFA President while Charanjit Singh Raina was the chief guest and Sushil Sharma was the guest of honour. Candles were lit and a two minutes silence was also observed in the honour of Subash Chander Bose. State President Shri Ram Sena Rajiv Mahajan, Sukhmohinder, Gajan Singh, JJ Singh, Brij Mehra Krishan Singh and Gourav were also present on the occasion.
National Secular Forum (NSF) Chief Dr Vikas Sharma while talking to media persons has demanded the change in nomenclature of Maheshpura Chowk in Bakshi Nagar after Netaji Subash Chander Bose as a mark of homage to the great freedom fighter. Dr Vikas Sharma said that statute of Netaji has been erected at Maheshpura Chowk since long but till date local administration has not initiated any measure to change the nomenclature of the rotary after the name of great freedom fighter. Among those who were present included Dr Sukhdev Singh, Papinder Singh, Pardeep Sharma and Ishtiaq Naik.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur celebrated the birth anniversary of Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose. On the occasion, floral tributes paying ceremony was organized by NYC. In the programme, DYC Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur Nissar Ahmed Butt and social worker Syed Shakeel Shah were present. Another programme was organized by NYV Madhu at village Manta at block Narsoo in which the chief guest was AD Singh, Headmaster, Government Primary School, Jullad Bali. NYV Ajay Kumar also organized cleanliness drive at village Pakhlai block Sewna on the occasion of birth anniversary of Subash Chander Bose.
